A WIDE RANGE OF ORGANIZATIONS EMBRACE ELECTRONIC VOTING WITH EVOTING

Over more than 10 years of operation, EVoting has become a trusted technological partner for a diverse array of organizations, helping them innovate and modernize their democratic processes through secure and efficient electronic voting.

Being a strategic tech ally is a cornerstone of EVoting’s mission, and year after year, more companies and institutions have taken the first step toward digitalizing their decision-making processes.

Universities, associations, corporations, and labor unions are just some of the many types of organizations that have adopted EVoting’s technology—boosting participation and ensuring the security and transparency of their internal elections and assemblies.

One of the most recent success stories comes from the University of Costa Rica (UCR), one of the most prestigious institutions in the country with an 84-year history. In 2024, UCR held its first-ever electronic vote for the position of rector, powered by EVoting.

The process took place in September and achieved record-breaking participation: 92.29% in the first round and 94.27% in the second—setting a new benchmark in the university’s democratic history.

While UCR had previously used EVoting for other processes, this marked the first time it applied the technology to an election of its highest authority.

A similar milestone occurred in 2023 at the Technological Institute of Costa Rica, which debuted EVoting’s services in a landmark election that not only introduced electronic voting, but also resulted in the election of the first female rector in the institution’s history.

But it’s not only academic institutions driving innovation.

The Argentine Rural Society (SRA)—founded in 1866 and representing over 3,000 members—held its national board election and its 160th General Assembly using EVoting’s technology this past September.

“This Assembly was historic,” said Nicolás Pino, president of the SRA. “After almost 160 years, we used electronic voting for the first time. The system increased voter participation and strengthened the institutional integrity of the SRA.”

Digital transformation has also reached local and regional governments. Various municipalities and regional governments in Chile have chosen EVoting to conduct citizen consultation processes, empowering communities to have a direct say in local development.

The Arica and Parinacota Region recently joined the innovation wave with its Región en Marcha citizen consultation, designed to shape initiatives that will drive the region’s growth over the next decade.

Other Chilean regions—including Biobío, La Araucanía, Magallanes, and the Chilean Antarctic—have also entrusted EVoting with their participatory processes. Likewise, municipalities such as La Reina, Las Condes, and Renca have implemented digital voting systems to enhance citizen engagement in critical local decisions.

Just like these institutions, many others have relied on EVoting as a key partner in the digital transformation of their internal governance and public participation processes.
