About us – Pioneer company in electronic voting and digital assemblies since 2013
At EVoting we develop technology solutions for electronic voting, digital assemblies and secure participation processes. We support public and private organizations in modernizing their governance, integrating technology, security and regulatory compliance into every process.
Our History
EVoting was born as a spin-off of Fundación Inria Chile, founded by computer science and cryptography academics linked to the University of Chile. Its founding team brings together PhDs in computing from the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis, the École Polytechnique and the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, which made it possible to establish solid foundations in security, cryptography and technical validation from the very beginning.
Before the company was established, that same team had already advised electronic voting processes in civil society. The most renowned was the symbolic vote of Chileans abroad during the 2013 presidential election, in which 12,418 people voted from 105 countries.
The company was born with a clear conviction: greater participation — both civic and organizational — strengthens societies. With that purpose, it developed proprietary technology aimed at facilitating direct, large-scale and accessible voting processes, while maintaining high standards of security, ballot secrecy and transparency.
Throughout its history, EVoting has evolved from a local technology initiative to a regional benchmark in electronic democracy, participating in internal elections, member assemblies, shareholder meetings and highly complex citizen consultations. Its growth has been marked by constant innovation and the incorporation of international information security standards.
The evolution of participation has transformed the way organizations make decisions. Today it is digital, remote, verifiable and scalable. EVoting has been an active part of that transformation, developing robust platforms that ensure trust in every process.
EVoting was the winner of the Tech4Democracy 2023 award, an initiative led by IE University, in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State and with the strategic support of Microsoft, which seeks to identify and promote technology projects focused on strengthening democratic values and principles.
